- Fracture mechanics, including analytical solutions and numerical methods for electrically passive and active composite materials.

- Phase-field analysis in ferroelectric single- and polycrystals.

- Micro- and macro-electromechanical as well as multi-scale modeling of the fracture behavior of intelligent materials with the help of the ferroelectric domain switching models and the electromechanical cohesive zone.
